LAKE RUDOLF

  • Located in East Africa's Rift Valley
  • The Forth largest lake in East Africa
  • It is 150 miles long and 10-20 miles wide
  • The greatest depth recorded is 240 feet

MOUNT KILIMANJARO

  • Located in Kilimanjaro National Park, Tanzania
  • Has three volcanic cones Kibo, Shira, and Mawenzi.
  • Stands at 5,895 meters tall
  • Makes it the largest standing mountian in the world

ETHIOPIAN HIGHLANDS

  • Located in the North Eastern corner of Ethiopia
  • It is a rugged mass of mountains
  • Is the largest continues area of altitude
  • Little of the Mountains faces drop below 4,921 feet

LAKE VICTORIA

  • Located at the african great lakes
  • Has three basin countries Uganda, Kenya, Tanzonia
  • One of Africa's great lakes
  • Larges tropical lake in the world
  • Has a surface area of 68,800 square kilometers

THE GREAT RIFT VALLEY

  • Stretches from northern Syria to central Mozambique
  • 3,700 miles in length
  • Its name was given in the late 19th century
  • Gets up too 4,820 ft. deed

RUVUMA RIVER

  • On the border of Tanzania and Mozambique
  • 760 kl. long
  • Passes over several cataracts
  • Navigable only by small craft

LAKE TANGANYIKA

  • Located across the four countries of:
  • Tanzania, Republic of Congo, Burundi, and Zambia
  • Worlds second largest freash water lake
  • World longest freshwater lake

MOUNT KENYA

  • Located in Kenya
  • Second highest mountain in the world
  • Lies immediately south of the equator
  • A 10,000 foot ring of dense forest covers its sloops
