Who is ISIS
- They are an organized terrorist group formed in 2004 originally called Al Qaeda, and shared views with Osama Bin Laden. Both ISIS and Osama's Al Qaeda were anti-western militant groups.
- ISIS controls a lot of land, including oil mines that give the group control over this powerful asset. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is the leader of ISIS.

Power
- A power vacuum is a political term used to to describe the weakness of a nation.
- ISIS used the power vacuum of a nation to direct hatred towards Western nations.
- ISIS has gained control over a lot of land by taking it by force, and convincing others that Western nations are to blame for their problems.

Interview: How do you feel about ISIS?
- Sandy: I don't like the fact that they attacked Paris, but I don't really know much about them other than what has been said in the news.
- Craig: They capture people against their will, they destroy places of history and culture. They have no respect, and only hurt other people to get what they want. We strongly disagree with their motives and their tactics.

My own opinions
- They have done a lot of horrible things and blamed others for it.
- They want to create a state for Islam, and they are using violence to gain control of what they want.
- They have no regard for other people's lives, and they resent our country for their own reasons.
- They are violent and aggressive, and they are a terrorist organization.
- I think its safe to say that I do not like ISIS, and I'm sure many americans don't either.
