Sea Anemones are a group of marine, predatory animals in the Cnidarian phylum.

They are named for the anemone, a terrestrial flowering plant, because of their colorful appearance.

Stichodactyla actiniaria

Sea Anemones are polyps with a flowerlike appearance that have no medusa stage.

They can reproduce asexually or sexually.

Sea Anemones are carnivores that eat fish, mussels, zooplankton, and worms.

They have limited but functional muscular and nervous systems.

Fun Fact #1: Sea Anemones can be fatal to humans due to their toxins.

Fun Fact #2: It takes just a slight touch to trigger a Sea Anemone to release their toxin.
