Democracy of Ghana

The country of Ghana is founded on a Constitutional Democracy. Adopted in 1992; Declares Ghana as an unitary multi-party republic with sovereignty; separation and balance of powers through executive, legislative, and an independent judiciary branch; prevents future coups from establishing dictatorial government; and outlines the form of government.

Government of Ghana
Ghana has two key figures that control the country. The official leaders are the Chief of State or President, and the Head of Government. The President is elected on a 4-year term. The Head of Government is also elected on a 4-year term. Currently these figures are run by the same person, President John Dramani Mahama. The government also includes the three branches which helps make laws and enforce them. These branches are the Legislative, Judicial, and Executive branches.
