PRESENTATION OUTLINE

I Tackeled The Bushwacker

(P.S That is not me!)

My sister said to me " You can do it Morgan!"
"I know I can do it!" I said back
But really
I was not sure
I climbed the obstacle course
Arms shaking afraid I might fall
What I am going to tell is a poem
A poem of resilience
of the time I climbed
The Bushwacker

The day I went on the Bushwacker I was excited
It was my first time to do the ropes course
Pump Pump Pump!
Went my heart as I got in line
I felt as if I was going to die!
My sister Bella did pretty well
But even she thought she would have fell
Then it was my turn
and the counselor called me up
Put on my helmet and said "Good Luck!"

The challenging tough Bushwacker had to be beat
So I could accomplish a great feat!
So I climbed
The first part to climb was 2 handles the color of white
And I did not have to put up a great fight!
(I mean really? It's 2 steps!)

Round and char black
That was the next step
A tire you have probably guessed!
I put my foot inside the bottom
The tire dipped down and I reached for the log up top
Pushed hard with my legs up I got on the log and look around
And frowned
The next obstacle was short
But it was up far

I had to grab a little duct tape ball
Pushing and Pulling
I finally reached the top!
And climbed the ladder rope up!

The final thing to do was go down
I shuffled to the edge
And the counselor clipped me in
The counselor said to sit down on the platform
I sat down and squirmed
Scared I would fall off
The counselor said when I am ready
She would push me off
And I did not like that thought
And shouting " 1 2 3!" she pushed me off

There were monsters in my stomach
Squealing and squirming
As I pulsed with adrenaline
Up and down I went
Then I slowed
And glowed with pride
As everyone cheered for me
I knew I had made a great feat
I had beat
The Bushwacker!

I learned from that not to be afraid,
Not to just get weighted down by fear,
And to never give up.
