CAUSES

  • Tornadoes are caused by a cold front and a warm front pass and since the molecule want to spin each other, the front twirl and collect cloud and touchi the ground.

LOCATION AND TIME

  • They tend to happen in the Great Plains in the US because, the dry cold air from the north mixes with the warm tropical air from the south that collects in the plains.
  • Tornadoes tend to form in the Fall or Summer.

SAFETY PERCAUTIONS

  • Dangers: Flying Objects, Twirling winds can pick you up and toss you.
  • Ways to stay safe: Hide in a basement or cellar. Stay Away from windows. Cover your head to protect it from flying objects.

  • Watch: When the climate is right to have a tornado.
  • Warning: When there is a high chance of it happening.
  • The Fujita scale (F-Scale) is used to scale tornadoes.
