ANCIENT CHINESE CULTIRE

EVERYDAY LIFE:

  • Father had complete power over everything in the household.
  • The woman had to respect and obey their husbands.
  • Woman worked around the house. Mainly taking care of children and cleaning the house.

Everyday Life:

Most of the people in Ancient China were peasant farmers.

Respected for the food they provided for the people.

Most work was by hand (had animals and plows)

Everyday Life:

Jobs: merchants, craftsmen, government officials, and scholars.

Cities grew larger due to farming and people getting more jobs.

-Cinese Lantern Festival,
-Hungry Ghost Festival

Ancient Chinese architecture is a miniature of the long-standing history and culture of china. In ancient china it was mostly stone work. They did sculptors every now and then. They worked on clay art too.

Social Structure

-First class were kings and nobles, they were at the highest level
- Lords and warriors, they were in the second class
-Lastly were the peasants they were the lowest level.
