States of Matter

By Eli

What are the States of Matter?

Hmmm...

Matter

Matter is the stuff around you.

Well there are 3 States of Matter and there are more

The states of matter

  • Gas
  • Liquid
  • Solid
  • And more

Gas

Matter that can freely change in shape and size

Liquid

Matter that keeps its size but takes the shape of its container.

There are a lot more states of matter.

What are they?

Polymer

  • Polymer is a large molacule
  • Composed of many repeated subunits
  • Both synthetic and natural polymers plays an essential role in everyday life.

How do you measure matter

Well there are quite a few ways to measure matter

Really?

Mass

A measure of how much matter is in an object.

Volume

The amount of 3-dimensional space an object occupies.

Density

  • Density of a substance
  • The realationship between the mass of the substance and how much space it takes up (volume)
  • D = m/v

This was my States of matter project
