The Rights

No Description

PRESENTATION OUTLINE

You have rights no matter where you go

This right is important because people need to be treated fairly no matter where they are. If I go to another country, I should be able to keep all of my rights. This right does not always happen in third world countries like Pakistan. But in the first and second world, you will probably get the rights you deserve.

The right to privacy

This is one of the most significant rights because everyone has their secrets, and they should not have to tell them. Some people would be mortified if they couldn't have privacy. People snooping around in other people's business happens all to often. It has got to stop.

The right to seek a safe place to live

This right makes me miserable. It saddens me to realise that, when it is functional, people are not let in the "safe place to live". All of the refugees that sit in camps, or are simply sent away, make me wonder if this right is a terrible joke. It does not end in happiness.

Right to a nationality

I like this right. It really provides a sense of belonging, of home. To come from, say, Mongolia, would fill you with pride every time you said your nationality. To give that to everyone is a beautiful thing.

The right to ownership

For many people, this right does not exist. Some of us have all of their things taken away by the government, while others get their things stolen by their neighbors. A precious few of us get to keep our own things. We should be so grateful that we can

Freedom of thought

This is one of my key rights. I believe that I should be able to think what I want to think, and no one can tell me otherwise. If we all thought the same way, there would be no individuals. And individuals are what makes the world work.

The right to democracy

I can't believe that the people who wrote this right had never heard of oligarchies, dictatorships, communism and monarchies. There are so many government systems, this right is completely. In North Korea, do you think they have democracy? It is things like this that make people not take the human rights seriously.

The right to play

Children are the only people who truly understand how important play is. They have lots of it, and never let duties get in the way of fun. Adults are much more serious. They need to learn to relax and play.

The right to education

The video that accompanies this right could really open some eyes. I don't think it really occurs to us that other people don't get an education. This is an incredible right because it ensures that everyone has an equal chance. The Earth needs that.

No one can take away your human rights

This is the most significant right. If someone could take them away, then what's the point of having them? This makes sure that everyone gets the treatment they deserve. It's the last right to make sure that none of them go away.
