THE GOOSE THAT LAID THE GOLDEN EGGS
Long ago, there was a man and a wife who lived in a forest.They were very poor.
One day, they found a goose that laid a golden egg
every day. The man and wife were very happy.
Every day they went to the market and sold their golden egg. They became rich and lived a good life.
However, the man wanted more eggs. He said to his wife, “If we kill the goose, we can get all the golden eggs.
I want all the eggs.” The wife agreed.
The
next day, they killed the goose but there
were no golden eggs inside.
So, the man and
wife lost their goose that laid golden eggs, and they became poor again.
