Suicide

• God gives us life, so we can't get rid of it
• Suicide contradicts the natural inclination of humans to preserve and perpetuate human life.
• It is contrary to love of ones self, love of thy neighbor, and love of God.

Assisted Suicide

• Suicide committed with the intention of setting an example, especially to young people is a scandal
• Voluntary cooperation is considered against moral law

Exceptions

• Grave psychological disturbances, anguish, fear of hardship or suffering
• People who kill themselves don't automatically go to Hell, only God decides
• These factors diminish the responsibility of the one committing suicide
