ASSESS

  • EXAMPLE: TEACHERS TESTS TO HELP THEM ASSESS HOW STUDENTS

  • Def: when you compensate something that you lack you make up for it
  • Ex: on hot days a fan can help compensate for lack of breeze
  • You make up for something in both

DETERIORATED

  • def: Something that has deteriorated became worse or inferior in condition.
  • Example: The paint had deteriorated after years of exposure to weather.
  • Destroying

DEVASTATING

  • Def: Something that is devastating is overwhelming or destructive.
  • Example: The devastating fire destroyed many trees.
  • Hail because it destroys windows and cars

  • Def: To implement a plan is to put it into effect or make it happen.
