Introduction
Do you know that metamorphic rocks can be either large or small? Amphibolite and marble are two types of metamorphic rocks. Marble is the most colorful!

Metamorphic Rock
The journey of metamorphic rocks begins with other types of rocks. They can be igneous, sedimentary rock, or even metamorphic rocks. The rocks can change to metamorphic rock when they are heated or go under pressure.

Rock Cycle
In the rock cycle, metamorphic rocks are recycled into new rocks which may be sedimentary or igneous. The heat is what makes the change for these rocks to turn into metamorphic rocks.

Marble vs. Amphibolite
Marble and Amphibolite are both rocks that are metamorphic .Marble and Amphibolite are also rough.
Marble colors can be pink, green, gray, and orange. On the other hand, Amphibolite colors can be dark green or black.Marble can be wet while Amphibolite can be dry.

Earths Crust
Down inside the earth, many miles below the surface heat from the molten rock flows into the solid rock. It heats that rock up. This is how Slate is formed.
