• He is the guy Jake works for at Smokehill.

• Beginning: He was sad and miserable about his life.
• Middle: He find Lois and becomes happy about having her in his life.
• End: He learns you should fill your life with happiness instead of being miserable.

STATIC CHARACTER: DAD

• Beginning:He is protective about Jake because of what happened to his mom.
• Middle:He has Jake call him at night even if comes to Billy's house for dinner.
• End: He is still worried about his son's safety.

EXTERNAL CONFLICTS

• Jake raises Lois even though it's against the law.
• Jake has to raise Lois and it's a challenge.
• Jake has to deal with the burns that Lois causes to his skin.

INTERNAL CONFLICT

• He learns to deal with the fact raising Lois is against the law,but knows it's the right thing.
• Jake constantly has dreams about caves, his mom, and the day he found Lois and seeing her dead mom.
• He has to deal with the guilt of not telling anybody about Lois trying to mimic speech.

EXPOSITION

• Jake is 15 year old boy who lost his mom as a young boy and lives with his dad.
• His dad is a scientist at an Institute and he studies Dragons.

RISING ACTION

• Jake begs his father to go on a solo trip and he says no over and over again.
• Jake is given a job at the zoo at Smoke hill and he hates it because it smells.
• Jake's father finally let's Jake go on a solo trip in the park.
• Jake sets out on his solo trip and ventures toward middle of the park to go and try to study Dragons.

CLIMAX

• He sees Lois's mom and the poacher both dead,and thinking she's dead he takes Lois .

FALLING ACTION

• He realizes Lois isn't dead and he takes care of her even though he can't sleep and misses his deadline.
• He returns to Billy's and tells him everything ,and he gets permission from his dad to raise Lois.
• He stays with Billy for two years and raises Lois and takes her to West camp where they will be safe.
• While at West camp Lois saves his life from a dragon who becomes his friend and he names her Gulp.

RESOLUTION

• People from TV go and film Lois,Gulp,and Jake.
• Everyone loves Lois and how cute she is.
• They became superstars,but the government never changed the law making raising a dragon illegal.
• Jake raises Lois and lets her go back to her people.
