• One day Tamarereti was hungry so he went out on to the river to get 
• some fish because his bag was empty and he had no food for his
• dinner.

• when he was out he caught three fish but the wind died down
• so he thought there was enough time to have a sleep.  but he was

• so he couldnt get home

• on to the lake to try get home the Taniwha would eat him

• sparkle he looked up and there were ten shiny gold pebbles. he thought
• if the were bright the could light up the night sky so he pick up seven of 
• them and though them up into the night sky.

• so the monster thought it was day time and stayed
• in the lake so he sailed back to shore were his bed was
