Materials Needed for the Year

• Two inch, three ring binder
• Loose leaf notebook paper, college ruled
• Pencils and cap erasers
• Colored pencils
• Classroom donation items: Kleenex, hand sanitizer, Lysol spray and liquid, glass cleaner

Homework Expectations - Vocabulary

• Vocabulary homework for the week will be given on Mondays
• Vocabulary tests will be on Fridays
• Vocabulary words associated with selected readings will be included with its test
• All vocabulary words are listed on quizlet.com

Homework Expectations - Reading

• Students will be given short reading exercises per night
• Students are encouraged to read at least 20 minutes per night for pleasure
• Some nights students will be asked to finish reading a selection that was started in class
