  • Use clear direct language.

  • Check spelling and grammar
  • Model good writing skills
  • Avoid all caps and abrasive formatting
  • Remain positive

Phone tips

  • Respond within 24 hours or sooner if possible.
  • Use the caller or callee's name.
  • Be an active listener. Allow the parent to be heard before responding.
  • Give yourself time to respond effectively. be prepared for the call.
