WHY?
- This is a PBL project we were assigned in PE
Reasons...
People who are bigger are already uncomfortable with themselves, and making them tuck their shirt in and wear yellow is like a beacon "hey look at me"
Many kids forget, don't own, or don't have enough for a belt. When the teachers seem them, they give them a tight squeeze.
They make kids who don't need a belt wear a belt. And people are embarrassed of their stomachs when they have to tuck in their shirts.
Many other schools give weekly dress-downs, but we only get a few a year. One of the most popular reasons people want to go to high school is so that they don't have to wear a uniform. That's saying something....
It takes extra time in the mornings to tuck in shirt.
We can't express our personalities.
Never again in our lives will we have to wear a uniform like this (most people)
In all, it is unfair that we at least don't get a dress down every Friday. This would boost self-esteem and would give this school more color and personality.
Think about if you were a student.
Would you get sick of wearing a uniform for 3 years? I know I am.
It also doesn't make any since that we have to PAY either. Of course kids don't want to miss out, but some don't have the money or may forget. It is unfair.
Why would we have to pay $3 for just a shirt! And then $4 for a full dress down! Earn another dollar and do FULL DRESS DOWNS
Kids would have a better experience at our school if they had more freedom of choice and could be taken for who they are and BE HAPPY WITH THEMSELVES AND THEUIR SCHOOL EXPERIANCE.
