The Team Meeting

Running a Successful CIG Meeting at Annual
Presenter: Rebecca
Activity to introduce the group if possible- either sharing with the whole group or small groups chatting- depends on size of the meeting

Provide examples from some meetings (beach ball with questions on it)

Know your time limit- sometimes everyone can’t introduce themselves

Brainstorm list of goals- love using a large tablet and marker for this- easy to take home and post online after- good for goal setting and your report

Another optional activity- list of key topics in your field/area now

Explain volunteer opportunities- what they require in terms of time and work
Sometimes people don’t know the ease of helping with a CIG

Take minutes and send out to everyone after annual- especially good for those unable to attend- let’s them know they can still be involved

Make it interactive- group chatting, activity and discussion.

Try to stay on task too- sometimes chats can get long and go over in time.
