Piaget's theory of cognitive development is a comprehensive theory about the nature and development of human intelligence. It was first created by the Swiss developmental psychologist Jean Piaget (1896–1980)

This Project is supported off of two well known theories. The first is Piaget's theory of cognitive development.

Gardner's Theory's effects on the Activity

Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligence's also plays a supportive role in this assignment, according to Gardner (1991). According to this theory, "we are all able to know the world through language, logical-mathematical analysis, spatial representation, musical thinking, the use of the body to solve problems or to make things, an understanding of other individuals, and an understanding of ourselves. Where individuals differ is in the strength of these intelligences - the so-called profile of intelligences -and in the ways in which such intelligences are invoked and combined to carry out different tasks, solve diverse problems, and progress in various domains."

Casting for Positions

The students will have to try out for parts they wish to obtain in this activity by doing class research to find out what parts we need and interacting with one another to find the best fits for individual skills and personalities. In doing this the students will utilize language skills start considering abstract concepts, all supported in Piaget's theory. Also homing in on Gardeners ideas of Interpersonal abilities and Linguistic skills

Acquiring idea as a team.

  • Choosing what there station should show. (News, educational show)
  • Working out timeline.
  • Distributing Work Evenly
Working as A team during this Activity is a very important part of development. Also it supports there abilities in a structures, and observed setting where they can feel free and safe to communicate effectively.

Learning to Use Equipment

As a class it will be essential for every class member to be able to have usable knowledge on how to use different types of equipment, so we that they are able to help with all processes of creating the class station. To support Gardener's Therory the childrens goals will work towards skills such as, Logical -Mathematical, Visuals, Reading ability, and Bodily-kinesthetic.

Writing scripts, and staging.

  • Utilizing ideas to create scripts that work smoothly and informatively.
  • Map out areas used for the show and mark where people will stand and move so that people are not running into one another.
This step is to promote Piaget's idea of systematic planning.

Building and Designing sets

Each student will be part of the design and building of sets, to help them work on there Visual-Spatial skills and Bodily-kinesthetic.

Filming parts, editing, and Finalizing

  • Preforming prepared roles and filming.
  • Cut and edit film on tablets of computers.
  • Finalizing and Double checking Work for Errors

Preparing for school wide sharing

Announcements of the final project will be given over the schools PA system and will be sent to smart boards so the the school can see the Class Tv Station.
