COMMERCIAL FISHING

WHERE AND HOW IS IT USED IN MINNESOTA

• It is used along the coast of lake superior and on lake of woods
• We use commercial fishing to catch fish and sell them at fish markets
• Also for fish processing factory

LAWS AND REGULATIONS

• You can not fish unless you buy a commercial fishing
• Only business's that work on the lake can fish there

IMPACTS

• People are losing jobs at these places because they arr losing business
• The fisheries that put fish in these places are cutting down on how many fish the put in

HOW DOES CHANGE AFFECT MINNESOTANS

• They are limiting on how many fish you can take
• The government is limiting on how many companies can fish on lake superior
• Companies are losing business

RECENT NEWS

• More invasive fish and plants have come into the lakes
• They just made the biggest fishing bust of all time 31 people from one company were arrested for poaching
