The first traces of the moon festival were first found 3000 years ago
They gave offerings to a moon goddess
Officially became a festival from the 900-1200 in the Song Dynasty

It has many different fillings

FUN FACTS!
During the moon festival, one box of 12 moon cakes were sold for 1000RMB!
At night, they will usually light lanterns.
MOONCAKES are sold everywhere in China, even at at McDonalds, and Starbucks.
On the day of the festival, (aug 15 lunar calendar) it is always a full moon.
