Regular school can sometimes be about following the instructions, doing just what it says in the box, producing the same thing as everyone else (like Charlie did in the video).
Our brains all work differently. Some may think more about building according to the directions, someone else may have a brand new creative idea you didn’t think of.
Even if you’re not working together for your P3 project, don’t hesitate to ask your fellow students, teachers, and mentors for help this week! Help one another!
The nature of a passion project means you don’t ever need to be finished with it! In most cases, you are probably just beginning to explore this topic. We aren’t looking for you to finish your passion project, the way we would ask you to finish a worksheet or a test. Keep that in mind this week.
Unlike in the video, Experience Week is NOT a competition! There are no grades, no homework, etc. unless you want to keep working on your project at home.
Spend a few minutes creating a vision board of what you'd like to achieve by Friday afternoon. Some things you might include on it are words, quotes, doodles or drawings, pictures, goals, or lists.
You can either create the vision board on Google Slides (using 1 slide only), or on paper. See the Google Classroom assignment for more details.
Accept feedback from your coaches, mentors, and others.
In the Above & Beyond video, the two students did not just dismiss one another because they didn’t work the same way. They worked together and came up with something even better than the individuals would have done on their own!
Reflect each day Through Google Classroom, you will submit a written reflection and at least one picture each day. We will give you time at the end of each day to work on it.
Reflect each day Through Google Classroom, you will submit a written reflection and at least one picture each day. We will give you time at the end of each day to work on it.
The written reflection need not be long: just a few sentences is fine. The picture can be of anything: you working on your project, a screenshot of what you've done on your computer, a picture of the work so far. You can send more than one picture if you like.
The P3 Expo shows a snapshot of your passion project.
The Expo should share a snapshot of your learning so far in your passion project. Mrs. Shutters will come around and discuss what would be best for each project.
