15 BILLION DOLLAR PROPOSAL CLEAN ENERGY

  • A 15 billion dollar proposal is proposed to reduce carbon emissions and shutdown coal use and coal factories.
  • The coal will be replaced by 40% natural gas-fired power plants; 40% renewable energy, made primarily from wind power; and 20% from nuclear energy
  • Clean energy is a major point in our society today because of problems with global warming.

TRADEOFFS

  • The major tradeoff will be job loss in the coal industry.
  • As more renewable energy is introduced coal factories will continue to be shut down creating structural unemployment.

  • The aging Coal factories need major upgrades in the near future to keep them running thus making the proposal more sensible.

RENEWABLE ENERGY

  • With Renewable energy replacing coal, energy rates will decrease over time making energy bills cheaper for customers because the energy is free to use.
  • renewable energy will create jobs for engineers, technicians, and manufacturers that work on creating the supplies that create the energy.
