GEOGRAPHY

• Japan is made up of 4 major islands
• There are many mountains in Japan
• There are also a couple of volcanoes

SOCIAL HIERARCHY

• Japan was divided into something symilar to a social class system

SOCIAL HIERARCHY

• Emperor
• Shogun
• Daimyo
• Samurai
• Artisans
• Peasants

SHOGUN

• The shogun was ranked beneath the emperor
• Was sort of like the general in the army
• Had alot of power in the government

SAMURAI

• Samurai were fearless warriors who protected others
• They fought with a long and flexible sword.
• They followed they followed the code of Bushido
• When a samurai did something bad they did Seppuku which is basically suicide

RELIGIONS

• Many Japanese people practiced Shinto, which is known as the way of the Gods.
• Shonto has no specific founder
• People there also practice Buddhism
• Biddhism is based on the teachings of Guatama Buddha

GOVERNMENT

• Japan's form of government was feudalism
• They had social classes,like social hierarchy
