 we are bombarded with so much aggression in the world, we just do not feel the emotional impact anymore 

because we have norms and values we would not be aggressive, However it's becoming normalised we are used to seeing aggression.

 we form cog scripts from the cartoon characters not being punished = increases aggression

 people who have a history of watching TV aggression,  have positive arousal - they enjoy watching it - makes them aggressive

 aggression becomes normal and aggression becomes their norms and values

 alert people and allow them to treat aggression seriously instead of aggression becoming normalised
