Early Life

  • She was born in Greenwich Palace, London.On the seventh of September in1533.
  • She was raised like an ordinary child of the king.
  • She had her own tutor.

Henry VIII

  • He lived1491-1547
  • He had six wives.
  • He died of obesity at age 55
  • He was also the father of Queen Elizabeth I

  • Lived 1504-1536
  • She died in Tower of London by decapitation
  • Mother of Queen Elizabeth I
  • She was also King Henry VIII second wife.

King Edward VI

  • Lived from 1537-1553 Born in Hampton court palace and died in Greenwich palace.
  • Queen Elizabeth’s half brother.
  • Was never married.
  • His coronation was 20 Feb. 1547, he was 10 years old.

Mary Tudor(Queen Mary I)

  • Lived:1516-1558
  • Reigned:1553-1558
  • She was Queen Elizabeth I half sister.
  • She was the oldest daughter of King Henry VIII

Queen Elizabeth’s I GOLDEN SPEECH

  • The speech was given in 1601.
  • It talked about her long reign.
  • It was also a reflection on how she impacted the people during her reign.

Queen Elizabeth I’s REIGN

  • Reign:1558-1603
  • Early years of rule was fixing Queen Mary’s problems.
  • She earned the name “Bloody Mary” for ordering execution of 300 Protestants accused of being heretics.

The Virgin Queen

  • Married Philip II.
  • This did not last long and she decided not marry anymore.
  • She viewed herself as married to her work.

Later Years

  • The ending years of Queen Elizabeth I were very worrisome.
  • The country suffered from a lack of crops,unemployment,and inflation.
  • A major problem was made when she sent Robert Devereux, the Earl of Essex to stop the riots about lack of food but returned making a riot himself.

Queen Elizabeth I’s Successor

  • Queen Elizabeth I had no kids, when she died.
  • Her royal families reign began in the 1400s but will be ended with Queen Elizabeth I.
  • The successor would be the son of her rival and cousin, Mary Stuart (The Queen of Scots). His name was King James I.
