What is Uranus Known For?
Uranus is known for not being able to be seen by a human eye. If you look up in the sky, you will not be able to see it. Uranus can only be seen by the use of a telescope at night.
How Did Uranus Get It's Name?
Uranus was named after a Greek God of the Sky. In myth, Uranus is the father of Saturn, and is to Grandfather Of Jupiter.

The weather on Uranus is very cold. The average temperature is -357 degrees Fahrenheit.
Uranus has 27 Moons orbiting it. Some of the larger moons names are called Titania, Miranda, Umbreil, Ariel, and Francisco. They are named by William Shakespeare and
Alexander Pope.
WHAT DOES URANUS LOOK LIKE?
- Uranus can not be seen without a telescope at night.
- This planet is mostly made out of gas.
- Uranus has clouds in the sky surrounding the planet.
- Uranus has rings that are almost invisible.
- This planet is very larger than earth.
There has been one satellite that has passed by Uranus in 1986. It is called the Voyager 2. It took pictures as it flew by.

- Uranus is called the "Ice Giant" . It is known because of it's icy layer. Ice Crystals also give it it's icy cold color.
- Uranus has the coldest tempature out of any planets in our solar system. Neptune can get very cold, but Uranus will always be the coldest.
- The Moons that Uranus has are all named by William Shakesphere, and Alexander Pope. All Moons Are very cold as well.
- There have only been one spacecraft to have flown by Uranus. It is the Voyager 2. It took one picture in 1986.
