Who is at greatest risk for suicide?

  • In 2018, the age of suicide is 8-15.
  • Youth and teens are at the greatest risk.

What leads to suicide?

  • Untreated depression
  • Mental illness- Trauma, drug addiction, exisential crisis, chronic pain, and terminal illness.
  • Child abuse- Physical and sexual
  • Bullying, personality disorders, eating disorders, loneliness, and relationship problems.

Signs of symptoms

  • Talking about wanting to kill themselves.
  • Having no reason to live, feeling empty and hopeless.
  • Looking for ways to kill themselves by searching it up, etc)
  • Thinking there is no solution, being a pain for others, talking or thinking about death, mood swings, and saying goodbye to there friends and family.

What makes you change your mind?

  • They're going to die anyways.
  • Not all pain is temporary.
  • Things are always better in the sun, the nights that are worse.
  • If nobody loves me now, someone will in the future.
  • Family.
  • Fear of failure.
  • #WRITTEN BY PEOPLE THAT CONSIDERED.

  • 30,000-40,000 American's commit suicide.
  • Hundreds to thousands more attempt, but fail.
