Playing in gaming tournaments is like boxing,

you may fall down, but it only matters if you get back up.

I was introduced to gaming at a young age through the Nintendo DS,

though back then I had no idea it would still affect me today.

I moved in with my grandparents at a young age,

and for Christmas one year, I got an Xbox 360.

I began to play Call of Duty

after being introduced to it by a friend.

I would usually play zombies,

but I found multiplayer fun.

I slowly grew away from Call of Duty

and began to play a lot of story driven games

When I was in 6th grade,

a game called Fortnite became popular, and I began to play it.

While at King of Prussia mall that summer

I found that the Microsoft store held Fortnite tournaments every Friday.

I decided to join the tournament,

but I didn't place well at first.

However, I decided to

keep practicing and go back again.

I returned a few months later

and I played very well.

I ended up placing second in the tournament,

 the practice had paid off.

Fortnite has slowly lost popularity over time,

and I stopped playing the game.

Now my story continues,

as I have joined Ryan's Esports team.

I play Overwatch with my teamates

and try to win a scholarship for college.

I have no clue what the future holds,

but I hope video games have some part in it.
