COLOSEUM

  • Largest amphitheatre.
  • Still stands in the center of Rome.
  • Used for entertainment in early medieval era.

ROMAN THEATRE OF MERIDA

  • Built in 16BC.
  • Used for entertainment ( plays ).
  • Still stands in Rome today.

BATHS OF CARACALLA

  • Built in 216 AD.
  • Was the second largest public bath.
  • Still around today as a tourist attraction.

COLOSSEUM

  • I believe the colosseum is the most memorable monument.
  • The colosseum is were prisoners would fight to the death.
  • It was the punishment back then, drawing in more than 60,000 spectatures to events.

COLOSSEUM VS. TAJ MAHAL

  • They were both are monuments.
  • Both of have sentimental value to their people
  • Built by and for their leaders
  • They are still standing today!

  • Colosseum was used for entertainment.
  • The architects that built the Taj Mahal had their eyes,hands, and tongues removed
  • The colosseum was built for men to fight to the death in.
