OVERVIEW

  • Immigration is the movement of people to another country or region because of many reasons but the three most common are: political, economic, or for religious freedom. Most of the times it it’s illegal because they crossing the borders illegally without presenting any type of documentation.

PLACES

  • Immigration is everywhere; in Africa, Asia, Americas, and Europe. In the Middle East for example they immigrated because of the constant state of war the countries are in, in Africa they immigrate because maybe where they live there isn't enough food or water, in America because Central America s very poor, that’s why most of the people that migrate towards the U.S are from; Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, and others.

REASONS

  • People immigrate because of many reasons most of them immigrate to find new and better opportunities. Religion is often a big cause for immigration for example: people have been immigrating out of china for the last 5-6 years just because in the country they don't accept Muslims and they have been put in concentration camps. Another reason is war; in the middle east especially Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries have been in a constant state o war since i can remember. Economic; people from Central America have been immigrating to the USA for the last 40 years because of the economic struggle thee region has been in. Political; political immigration is when the president or government is corrupt or is out to get them. In the video we watched the main guy interviews a man and his family and why they are here and he said that because they want better opportunities for their kids because from where they are from which is Guatemala things have beeen pretty bad there.

PROBLEMS

  • Immigration is a very big problem. Place where people immigrate are not often economically stable and many people in that country suffer from unemployment and when manufacturing companies and others hire they are taking someone’s job causing the unemployment rate to rise. When people immigrate they don't pay taxes and taxes are very important for the stability of a country. Sometimes immigrants have ties to drug gangs and other dangerous organizations. In the video I watched the man goes to Mexico to a very dangerous drug cartel “owned” part where they have cameras and armed people everywhere, the police have very heavy artillery and so do the drug cartels. This is not the only example of organizations controlling areas; in countries like Syria and Iraq some parts are controlled by the terrorist group ISIS.
