• water pollution affects not only individual living species, but also populations and entire functioning ecosystems that exists in the waters

INFORMATION ABOUT BP OIL SPILL

• In the Gulf of Mexico in 2010
• Lots of different species were caught in the oil spill
• The oil spread to the Pacific Ocean

WHAT HUMANS DID TO CAUSE THE PROBLEM

• The oil spill was caused by oil cores being too weak to withstand a concrete mixture around them

WHAT HUMANS HAVE DONE TO CLEAN UP

• There were organizations and groups that helped explain the dangers of water pollution
