Mercury

  • Mercury's days are very long, but Mercury's years are very short.
  • Once of Mercury's days is equal to 58 days on earth.

Venus

  • Venus' atmosphere is very thick.
  • If you were walking on atmosphere it would feel so resistant, almost like you were trying to walk in a liquid.

Mars

  • Mars has the largest volcano in the solar system.
  • The volcano is called Olympus Mons, and it is three times bigger than Mount Everest!

Asteroids

  • After the sun and planets formed, there were chunks of material left orbiting the sun, which were asteroids.
  • The reason they are floating around and not pulled in by another planet is because they never were close enough where the would be sucked in by the planets' gravity.
