WHAT ARE REACTIONS ?

  • A reaction or chemical reaction is a chemical change which forms new substances. In other words, reactants react to form products that have a different chemical formula.

What ARE EXOTHERMIC REACTIONS ?

  • Exothermic Reaction means "exo" meaning releases and "thermic" means heat .When a chemical reaction happens, energy is transferred to or from the surroundings. When energy is transferred to the surroundings, this is called an exothermic reaction, and the temperature of the surroundings increases.

WHICH TYPE OF REACTION IT IS

  • An exothermic reaction is a chemical reaction that releases energy through light or heat. It is the opposite of an endothermic reaction. Expressed in a chemical equation: reactants → products + energy.

EXAMPLES:

  • Boiling
  • Melting
  • Burning
  • Rusting

BOILING

  • Boiling is a process that chemists call endothermic. Clearly, if some processes require heat, others must give off heat when they take place. These are known as exothermic.
  • Boiling water is an endothermic process, which supplies heat to the water molecules, increasing their potential energy

RESPIRATION

  • Exothermic reactions release heat or energy. When you or we breath out, breath is warmer. This is happened for respiration reaction of our body.
  • during respiration glucose combine with oxygen in cells of our body to form carbon dioxide and water along with the production of energy.
