Biography
He was born in 13th March 1930. Uecker Was born in wendorf , Mecklenburg . He is a German sculptor , op artist and installation artist. Guenther Uecker began his artistic education in 1949 it means that when he was 19 years old , he began to his job . He took up studies at Wismar, then he went to theart school in Berlin-Weibensee and in 1995 to Düsgeldorf .
Uecker met the group Zero with Heinz Mack and Otto Piene in 1960. He occupied himself with the medium of light. Uecker , Mack and Piene began working together in joint studias at "Stedelijle Museum "in Krefeld and Frankfurt .Since 1966 , after the group Zero dissolved and last joint exhibition.
Uecker has participated in many other exhibitions , including documantry, kassel , German (1968), the Venice Biennale (1970) and others . Uecker's work can be found in the collections of major institutions ,amang them ; the Zero foundation .
