  • They lived in the Southwest.
  • In present day New Mexico.
  • They were around 150 miles away from the closest hostile tribe.

  • Corn.
  • Rabbit.
  • Wild boar.
  • Any farm item they could find.

  • Men wore war shirts and breechcloths.
  • Women wore buckskin dresses.

  • Women picked berries and common nuts.
  • Men trained children for raids.
  • Children were trained from birth.

TRADITIONS

  • They raided the Pueblos many times a year.
  • They also had annual foot races.

  • The Apaches lived in wickiups.
  • Wickiups are made of brush and a sometimes leather tarp.

WEAPONS

  • Spears of many shapes and sizes.
  • Bows and arrows.
