They poke their beaks out of the water to breathe.
Some grow as long as a tall adult.

Sea turtles can live in water and land.
The currents helps them swim long distances quickly.
During cold winters they live in burrows.

They eat grass, leaves, fish, snails and insects.
They swim far to find food.

Female lay eggs on land.
Some live up to 150 years old.
They can lay 100 eggs at a time.
