JOHN STEINBECK
Steinbeck hand-wrote all of his manuscripts; they were later typed out by his publisher.
When Steinbeck was four years old, he was given a pony. This pony was the inspiration for his series "The Red Pony".
He showed a strong interest in writing from a young age.
3.
BEFORE THE GREAT DEPRESSION

WHAT LED TO THE GREAT DEPRESSION

Another cause of the Great Depression was that many banks failed throughout the 1930's.
