LIAM

  • Liam is a dynamic character, who changes throughout his sophomore year. He loves playing basketball but has some troubles.

COACH KLOSS

  • Coach is a dynamic character, who changes throughout the season. He loves coaching and has been a coach for over 10 years.

LIAM'S PARENTS

  • They are static characters who always are supportive and give guidance to Liam.

SETTING

  • The setting takes place at Horizon High School in Colorado during winter. During this time, you could see everything covered in snow. You could hear kids playing outside. Also you could feel the winter breeze on your face.

SYMPATHETICALLY

  • Exhibiting or feeling sympathy or compassion

PROCRASINATE

  • Delay or postpone action; put off doing something

ARTIFICIAL

  • Made or produced by human beings rather than occurring naturally.

SUMMARY

  • Liam, a sophomore in high school, worked really hard to earn a spot on varsity. Unfortunately, Liam wasn't comfortable how Coach led prayers before games. Liam decides to quit the basketball team. Liam was invited to help the varsity girl's team compete. Liam becomes a big part in the girls success in the playoffs.

QUOTE

  • This quote taught Liam to be grateful for everything in life.

IRONY

  • Liam experiences irony. At the beginning of the story, Liam quits the basketball team and in a turn of events, he ends up helping the girl's basketball team beat the boy's team.
