Saturn is the 6th planet from the sun. It is one of the outer planets because it is located outside of the asteroid belt. The asteroid belt is a part in space between the orbit of Mars and Jupiter. It is where most of our asteroids are located. Saturn is the 2nd largest planet in our solar system.

  • My planet is known for the rings that circle its equator. The rings are made up of countless particles of ice and rock that each orbit Saturn independently.

  • Saturn is named after a character in Roman Mythology. Saturn is named after the God Saturnus, the God of agriculture and harvest.
