  • In the US the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants was established in 1887.
  • It can be traced back as far to ancient Mesopotamia and many other civilizations.

HISTORY AND BACKGROUND 2

  • Accountants aren't usually well known but there are some people who are known such as Mary Harris Smith who became the first Chartered Accountant in 1919.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CAREER1

  • To become a CPA certified accountant you must pass the CPA exam. Many accountants go through5 years of schooling.
  • You can get an Accounting degree and these are usually available at most colleges. (Ex: Oakland, UofM, Western, and MSU all have accounting programs)

REQUIREMENTS FOR CAREER 2

  • The first step to climbing the career ladder, is to get an entry level job. There are many different types for this career.
  • Accountants should have attention to details, have excellent organization skills, great communication skills and much more!
  • Really, to grow in this career you want to make your way to boss level in your accounting firm.

JOB POSITION DESCRIPTIONS 1

  • Things accountants will do rang from preparing assets and documenting financial transactions to analyzing account information. These things can be very important for the finance aspect of any company.
  • Accountants usually work 40-50 hours a week in an office. And the attire is business casual at the very least.

JOB POSITION DESCRIPTION 2

  • An entry level accountant makes about $48,916 as a yearly salary. A senior accountant makes about $73,808.
  • Accountants have many benefits such as vacations and a good retirement plans. But this usually depends on the company.

JOB REELECTION AND OUTLOOK

  • It would be challenging to be in an office all the time but I could get used to it. The perks are the salary and the dependability. very few things could effect the job outlook too much for accountants.
  • The job outlook for accountant as is supposed to increase 11% in 10 years. I don't foresee an economic changes to effect this career too much.
  • Most businesses offer accounting jobs.

CONCLUSION

  • Accountants are so important because they provide insight from other businesses and they are the key to financial success in many companies.
