CHILD HOOD

  • He was the second eldest of his parent’s.
  • He was one of six surviving offspring.
  • Tchaiksky’s father, Il’yich worked as a mine inspector and metal works manager.

  • When he was just 5 years. He started piano lessons.
  • He displayed an early passion music
  • His parents hoped that he would grow into a civil servant.
  • At the age of 10 , Thaikovsky began attending the Imperial school of Jurisprudence, a boarding school inST.Petersbarg.
  • His mother, Alexandra, died of Cholera in 1854,When he was 14 years old.

  • Since music education was not available in Russian institutions at that time, Tchaikovsky parents has not considered that their son might presue a musical career.
  • Instrurg, they chose to prepare the high-strung and sensitire boy for a career in the civil service.

  • In 1850 Tchaikovsky entered the prestigious Imperial school of Juris prudence in st.Petersburg, a boarding institution for young boys,where he spent nine years.
  • He proved a diligent and successful student who was popular among his peers.

  • At the same time Tchaikovsky formed in this all-male environment intense emotional ties with several of his schoolmates .

  • He the most popular Russian composer of all time.
  • His music has always had in virtue of its tuneful, open- hearted melodies, impressive harmonies, and colorful, picturesque orchestration, all of which evoke a profound emotional response.
  • And he wes a law clerk before starting music.

TCHAIKOVSKY HOW HE DIED

  • Tchaikovsky died of cholera.

TCHAIKOVSKY COMPOSES

  • His oeuvre includes 7 symphonies, 11 operas, 3ballets, 5 suites, 3 piano concertos, a violin concerto, 11 overtures ( strictly speaking, 3 overtures and 8 single movement programmatic orchestral works), 4 cantatas,20 choral woks, 3 string quartets, a string sextet, and more then 100 song and piano pieces.
