DIONYSUS

  • Dionysus was the God of Wine and Reverly
  • One day Midas found a satyr in his garden and brought him to Dionysus
  • Dionysus gave Midas one wish

Midas wished that whatever he touched would turn gold. The next day he went around his castle turning everything golden. Then he went to his dining room table and went to eat. He grabbed some grapes and bit into them and they turned golden and hurt his teeth.

  • Then he went to hug his daughter and she turned golden this destroyed Midas

Then his daughter ran up to him and hugged him and she turned golden. Midas then broke down into tears and he begged that Dionysus would take his curse away.

THE CURE AND AFTERMATH

  • He went back to Dionysus and pleaded for him to take away his curse
  • Dionysus told him to wash his hands in the river
  • He washed them and the gold drained out from his skin into the river and everything that was golden went back to its original state
  • He then became a better king and a better man
