VETERANS

  • In 2012 349 U.S. Soldiers committed suicide after returning from combat
  • That is about 1 Soldier per day for active duty
  • Veteran Affairs estimates that as about 18 suicides per day for Veterans
  • Stress from combat and PTSD are major issues amongst this community
  • Clients will be able to utilize our therapists and counselors instead of just going back into civilian life.
  • Veterans will be able to apply for VA healthcare, will meet with a service counselor to reach out for transportation to and from medical appointments as well as assist in every day tasks.

In two years time Half-Way Homestead has made a mass amount of progress, and has successfully assisted incarcerated/long term cam patients back into society. Our clients have endured hardship but our job is to encourage and positively impact their lives. They can now hold the key to their lives and live to their full potential.
