Solar Power

No Description

PRESENTATION OUTLINE

HOW IT WORKS?

  • Solar power is an environmental friendly source of energy which can be used for your everyday life without creating pollution.
  • Solar power can be used to power lamps, lights, microwaves, power points, and electrical things.

SOLAR CELLS

  • Solar cells are small devices which can convert sunlight into electricity. One cell in its own will provide a small amount of energy, but many cells can create lots and lots of power.
  • Solar cells can also be called photovoltaic cells.

SOLAR PANELS

  • One solar panel is made up of many small solar cells. Each of these cells uses light to make the electrons move. When the light hits an electron, the two layers of electrons move which starts the flow of electricity.

SOLAR POWER

  • In 1839 Alexandre-Edmond Becquerel was the man who discovered the photovoltaic effect which explains how electricity can be generated from sunlight.
