Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
"poor in spirit" means to humility
Humility means I realize that I am creature and God is the creator, so I place my full trust in God.
Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted.
Hope for victims of injustice and those suffering that God is with them.
Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the land.
Meek refers to the gentleness and kindness of Christ.
Understanding and compassion for those despised and avoided by others.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteous for they will be satisfied.
Righteous means a strong desire or longing to seek and to follow forgive will.
Blessed are the merciful for they will be shown mercy.
Being willing to forgive all people.
Blessed are the clean of heart for they will see God.
Clean of heart means having sincere, good intentions toward others.
Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called children of God.
One desires peace and is willing to promote and to protect it.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
One is willing to sacrifice and to suffer for Christ.
