Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all

Interesting to note that the context for this invitation is right on the heels of Jesus describing unrepentant cities.....

who labor - the exhaustion that comes after a long day of strenuous activity, 12 hour shift,

and are heavy laden - carrying great loads that wear you down

and I will give you rest

emphasis on a place where the absence of tension and worry give way to a sense of relief that the burden is gone, the heaviness has been lifted - found in Jesus....

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
