STYLE

  • Impressionalist tried to get away from the perfect symmetry, and paint the world the way it was, imperfect.
  • They used a lot of light to show the affect of the sun changing.

  • He used oil and crayon mediums.
  • He used short, quick brush strokes. He also used a lot of contrast of color.

CONTENT

  • He used figure, landscape, and scenery in his paintings. Nature was the subject of his paintings.
