William Sturgeon- at age 37 created one of the first electro-magnetic engines. He noticed how it gave off electrons and learned how to harness that energy.

Thomas Davenport- was an American Blacksmith who created the first DC(direct current) Motor, in 1834.

Steam Engine- Many know what this motor is. It was used in most trains in order to make the wheels turn.

How the Steam Engine works- The steam engine is ran on Coal and water. When the coal burns it heats the water and runs a large piston. This left over steam you often see coming out of the stack on a steam engine.

Karl Benz- was a German Engineer and engine builder who is often known as the person to invent the first efficient auto mobile. In 1886 Benz got his first customer. He later created a business later known as Mercedes Benz.

Henry Ford- Henry ford is a well known name. He is known as the founder of Ford motor company. He created the assembly line and changed the whole world. Even though I don't like Ford they were still important for all of the companies in the world.

Dodge Brothers- Motorists who created a car company later known as Dodge.

Cummins- A motor company founded by Clessie Cummins. This company was founded in 1919 in Columbus Illinois. Cummins Has teamed up with Dodge for Diesel trucks. All of the Ram diesel trucks have a Cummins motor.
